Lincoln Brewster      Play Media

Born in Fairbanks, AK, in 1971, guitarist/singer/songwriter Lincoln Brewster was playing drums, guitar, and mandolin by the age of seven. By 12 he was fronting his own band, Lincoln and the Missing Links, with his mother Cheryl on bass and vocals. He moved to California at 15 and joined the high school jazz and marching band. By 19, through a series of connection in Los Angeles, he had the opportunity to sign a major record contract but found that his personal life was spinning out of control. Christianity provided for Brewster the tools and the solace he needed to continue not only making music, but to make it in a way that celebrated his newfound faith. He became a much sough-after session musician, touring with Journey's Steve Perry for well over a year. After a brief stint in Oklahoma, Brewster and his wife relocated to Nashville to help build The Oasis Church, where he signed with the faith-based Integrity label and began recording his own music. He has since released Live to Worship in 2000, Amazed in 2002, All to You... Live in 2005, and Let the Praises Ring – The Best of Lincoln Brewster in 2006 that featured the chart toping song “Everlasting God”.

Desperation Band      Play Media

Desperation Band, which began as a combination of the youth and college worship ministries of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, is a recording artist with Integrity Music under their "Vertical Music" label. They still continue to lead worship both within the student ministries and in the main services at New Life Church, as well as at the annual Desperation Conferences.

Led by Jon Egan, Jared Anderson, and Glenn Packiam, the Desperation Band has recorded four albums for Integrity music, including their self-titled debut, their sophomore effort "From the Rooftops", the critically acclaimed "Who You Are", and their most recent release "Everyone Overcome". They have also been featured on two New Life Church recordings, 2006's "My Savior Lives", and an all-new project to be released in the fall of 2008. Their albums, all recorded live at New Life Church, appear on Integrity's Vertical Music label and feature "high-energy, passionate new worship songs that convey the hunger of their generation for God." Desperation Band was originally formed in 2001, when New Life pastor David Perkins suggested the three worship leaders/songwriters play together at the first Desperation Conference. Held annually in July, Desperation Conferences draw thousands of college and high school students who are desperate for a deeper walk with God.

The Desperation Band leads worship on a weekly basis at _tag, New Life Church's High School ministry, as well as at theMILL, New Life's college ministry. Made up of three worship leaders and several other musicians, the band also travels to conferences, churches, and concerts throughout the country. Desperation is best known for writing songs like "Rescue", "Beauty of the Lord", "I Am Free", and more. Many of these songs have been covered by many other bands and churches, the most notable being the Newsboys' recording and performing of "I Am Free". Desperation Band's songs are sung in churches throughout America and around the world.

In addition to their work with Desperation Band, several of the members have also branched out on their own. Jared Anderson has recorded two solo projects for Integrity music, "Where to Begin" and the recently released "Where Faith Comes From". Glenn Packiam, known for his theologically deep messages, reveals "How Your Life Can Make A World of Difference" in his first book, Butterfly in Brazil (2007, Tyndale House).

New Life Worship

NewLifeWorship is the worship ministry of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Led by Worship Pastor, Ross Parsley, NewLifeWorship is all about helping people experience the living presence of God and develop a life of worship. Whether it takes the form of leading worship for the many services at New Life Church or coaching individuals in their walk with God, local church ministry is at the core of who they are. Every album made, and every training resource and environment they’ve developed—from the ENTER Worship Conference to the New Life School of Worship—is designed with the local church in mind.

Because of Ross’s philosophy of the “family worship table”, NewLifeWorship is worship that spans the generations, from remakes of classic hymns to the rock edge of the Desperation Band. NewLifeWorship reflects one worshipping church in love with Jesus Christ.

In partnership with Integrity Music, Ross Parsley and NewLifeWorship have released multiple albums, including the worshipmusic.com Album of the Year, My Savior Lives. Songs like “I Am Free”, “Your Name”, “My Savior Lives”, “Rescue”, “Amazed”, and many other modern worship favorites have come from the team of worship leaders and songwriters that are part of NewLifeWorship. Their new album, Counting on God, releases in September, 2008.

Parachute Band

In 1996, The Parachute Band was born: a collective of musicians gathered for the purpose of leading worship for New Zealand’s Parachute Music Festival. Over the next decade, the group garnered a reputation as a leading international worship voice, and released seven albums, six of which were certified gold in New Zealand. In 2005, the Parachute Band signed with U.S.-based label Integrity Music broadening their worldwide distribution and garnering the Gospel Music Association’s “International Award.”

Ten years later after the birth of the band, the mantle has now been passed from one generation to the next…A new line-up with a fresh sound now carries the mandate for the Parachute Band, the same heart enveloped in a new voice for this generation. Exploring the aggressive pursuit of a new breed of worship, this band is not afraid to step up to the plate and make some noise, testing the limits of their guitar-driven song writing. In this, however, they are determined to stay true to the real heart and lifeblood of their mission; “We’re just five guys, passionate and on this journey to know God better, and to point everything that we have to Him,” enthuses worship leader Levine.

Last year, the new face of Parachute released Roadmaps and Revelations to critical acclaim. This year, they return with Technicolor, a new album filled with new songs emerging from the New Zealand Church.

Lakeview Worship

Lakeview Worship is the creative arm of a local church body, a team rediscovering the true meaning of worship. We’re just normal people... mechanics, accountants, doctors, students...blue collar, white collar... young and old...all committed to seeing God’s name be glorified, and the influence of His church made greater through creative ministries.

In early 2001, God began a transformation in this 85-year-old congregation. It was much more than just a move towards contemporary music, it was a desire to know what true worship is all about. It was also born in a passion to reclaim the creative spirit of the arts in order to re-energize the church and connect with the culture. At Lakeview, this creative resurgence began with songwriting. A few new songs were introduced into the Lakeview church body, the church began to breathe with new excitement that needed an outlet. So in late 2001 we recorded our first live worship album. That night proved to be the catalyst for things to come as new writers began to emerge, new musicians and singers began to join the team, and Lakeview’s body slowly began taking ownership of what God was doing. We have recorded a new live album every year since then, as well as two studio projects, proving that God can do anything through the everyday people of His church when they respond to Him in obedience.

Joel Auge      Play Media

A native of Hamilton, Ontario, whose passion for music has found him recording since 1999—fronting three distinctive bands—Joel Augé has always felt at home smack in the middle of the sacred/secular road. For him, it’s the same road. “The balance between artist and worshiper is a heart thing,” Joel says. “If you’re a Christian and you’re making art, you are in some way sacrificing your art in worship. My art, the thing I create, even though it’s not 100% congregational all the time, I consider it an act of worship… It’s a daily struggle to put the ego aside, but ultimately, I’m nowhere near as important as the one I’m singing to.”

So this bi-lingual, multi-talented songwriter and itinerate worship leader for The Meeting House family of churches takes every opportunity to share his art—his unique lyrical perspective and unforgettable delivery—and his heart with people from all walks of life. From World Youth Day, a Catholic gathering of over 700,000 youth, to mainstream stages across Canada to television audiences across North America, the UK, France and Australia, Joel writes and sings with one intention: to live the truth of God’s grace. “I want to be as real with God as I can possibly be,” Joel explains. “The impact he’s had on my life is one of romance. He has cured my heart. His constant tugging at me is proof that God loves me. He doesn’t call us his ‘bride’ for nothing. It’s because he loves us and he knows us… So I’m intentional about showing that God is who he says he is.”

Nate Griffin grew up in an environment heavily influenced by foreign cultures and far away places. The son of missionary parents, he spent much of his youth in Africa and over the years has set foot on every continent on the globe save Antarctica. Some of Nate's earliest memories are of painting and drawing, and to this day his fine art background influences his work in production and design. Just as in the world of paintbrushes, pigments and pallets, where there is an endless array of color and composition at our fingertips, so also in the expectant arena of production! His firm belief is that no matter where a person may find himself in a day he is in his mission field, and the strengths and weaknesses that he has been gifted with are his brushes and paint. Having co-founded grateful inconvenience inc. with Stephen Proctor on Valentines Day of 2006, it is Nate's greatest desire to be a voice to the voice and to utterly destroy the idea that missions is anything other than a natural outpouring of a day-in and day-out walk with Jesus in the course of our every day lives.
